hello!

Hmm. So here I am, sitting on my sofa, watching the olympics and feeling quite silly writing to myself. I don't like the idea of writing a blog...it's what grown-up-computer-geeks do...but then it seems like a good way of keeping a record of what I'm up to... A friend who recently emigrated has started one and it's been great to hear his random thoughts on life as it happens, so here goes...it's a jo blog. Maybe nobody will ever read it, but at least it may amuse me at some point if I ever read it again!!

Setting up a blog has been on my list of things to do for a while now and the reason for the list (and the blog) as you may well know is that I'm off to Zambia in a month and a day. So far, I seem to have got very little organised. Oh, I have a ticket, a visa and lots of vaccinations, so I guess I'm getting there, but all the little bits and bobs that I need to do seem to be, well, still waiting for my attention. So, setting up a blog is one little tick on the long list! At some point soon I will write more about why I'm going to Zambia, who I'm going with and what I hope to do while I'm away, but for now, I'll just say I'm going!
